Pete Hays Market President, Caddo Parish

Pete is native of Shreveport, LA. When he turned 16, he started working as a bag boy at Albertsons. He attended college at LSU-Shreveport while working at Albertsons in order not to take on student loan debt, graduating in May 1998 with a major in Accounting and debt free. After working at Albertsons for 14 years, it was announced in October 2005 that his store was closing and he was laid off. This allowed Pete to make a career change and in March 2006, he started his banking career with Chase Bank in Monroe, LA.

In March 2015, Pete started with Cross Keys Bank as a Vice President, Commercial Lender. In 2020, he managed the SBA’s Payroll Protection Program for CKB. This included staying abreast of the changing government rules being published daily and keeping the lending team informed of these changes. Between 2020 and 2021, CKB provided over 1,250 PPP loans totaling over $75 million dollars in business funding to small business owners. Pete enjoys the outdoors. He loves fishing, golf, tennis, pickle ball and any other sport, as long as he is playing. He and his wife have been married for over 22 years and have two daughters, ages 13 and 16. Pete has an identical twin brother whom he is often being confused with, so he will answer to the name Joe as well as Pete. Pete currently volunteers as a board member and President Elect for the North Shreveport Business Association, a non-profit association with a mission to educate, inform, and provide beneficial services to business and community members and actively represent, promote, and support the business community of North Shreveport.
